Fall Equinox

On Monday, September 23, 2019, we will have this year’s Fall Equinox. I know a lot of people are looking forward to the cooler weather, leaves changing, the pumpkin spiced drinks and fall outfits.

Even though Summer is my favorite, I do enjoy the fall crisp air and a nice apple cider. As we begin to turn our attention indoors, let’s not lose the connections we made with our family and friends this summer. Schedule a nice outing to a pumpkin patch or to the local fair.

Our attention will also turn inwards towards ourselves on a personal level. Take your time to address any fears and doubts that may come bubbling to the surface. Allow yourself to sit in meditation giving thought to being more creative and become more authentic.

The Fall Equinox is a time for light and dark to be at balanced (Hence why this is also when the sun moves into the balanced and justice-seeking sign of Libra). The duality of light and dark shows up in humanity as well as spiritual transformation. This dying out must occur to allow for further enlightenment after the darkness of Winter.

To celebrate the Fall Equinox, here are a few suggestions…..

You know I love crystals and essential oils. If you are looking to meditate or create an altar as part of celebrating, Smoky Quartz, Peridot, Ruby, Moss Agate, Citrine, Clear Quartz, and Tiger’s Eye crystals. Rosemary, Roman Chamomile, Cinnamon, and Clove.

Begin to add these hearty fall foods: apples, pomegranates, figs, pears, squash, beets, and pumpkin to your diet.

Create a gratitude list.

Deep cleaning of your house.

Take a nice hike in nature.

Whatever you do, make sure to do it with great joy and intention.

Until next time………

Melinda
